The House
Etang De Cosse house is a delightful south facing house furnished to the highest standard for your comfort.
The house was constructed at the same time as the lake and grounds were set out. The house is adjacent to the lake, but conveniently hidden to ensure those carp fishing are not disturbed.
The grounds extend to 10 acres around the house and are soley for the private use of our guests.
THE ESSENTIALS OF LIFE
We like you to feel at home on your French holiday, so we have provided UK digital TV with all BBC ITV and certain Sky programmes. We have just installed a 37 inch LCD flat screen TV in the lounge.
There is a DVD player and a selection of movies. A CD player is provided for your music and a good selection of books and magazines are at the house.
The house has full central heating making it a great place for a carp fishing holiday anytime of year.The kitchen is well equipped with ceramic hob, oven, microwave and washing machine.
The house has a very large basement and garage area, where guests can store carp fishing gear.
Etang de Cosse also provides use of a small rowing boat to help with bait placement.
LOCAL AMENITIES
We are 10 minutes drive from a lively French market town which has a great range of shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. There are also 2 well stocked carp fishing tackle shops in the town. St Junien also has a typical french weekly market selling a good range of local products.
Within easy walking distance is a small medieval hill top village. here you will find a bar, restaurant, bank, bakers, co-op, hairdressers, pharmacy etc
The area has lots of tourist attractions, should you wish to take ti
me out from carp fishing during the day.
Limoges is only 30 minutes drive from the house. There is a good golf course nearby, you will also find tennis, inland lakes with canoeing, windsurfing and beaches all within easy reach. We also have a really large outdoor swimming pool/lido, with water slides in St Junien, just 10 minutes drive.
The weather in the summer is usually pleasant with warm sunny days, and cool summer evenings.
We have 3 large bedrooms, 2 double rooms and one twin room. The house slepps 6 in comfort.
The bathroom has a bath, seperate shower cubicle, 2 washbasins and a toilet. there is also a WC and washbasin adjacent to the bathroom.
The dining area has a large table and seats 6 in comfort.
The swimming pool area was added last year as a result of requests from our previous guests. It has proved popular and keeps families happy whilst the carp fisherman enjoy themselves too!!
This is our 5 th season and many of our guests are returning for third and fourth visits to us. We can assure you that everything is done to make your carp fishing holiday in France as enjoyable as possible.
This is a great place for meals, relaxing and sunbathing, for any non carp fishing members of the party.
A few steps from the patio, down through the garden leads you to a small terrace by the side of the lake.
The lake side terrace has patio furniture for your use. it's a great place to watch the fishing action, whilst enjoying a sundowner.
We go to great lengths to ensure your comfort is fully met.
